'MAKE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES'...By Funmibi Ojo

When the sun is shining, a wise farmer sees it as a very good opportunity to gather Hay (that is: cutting, drying, and storing of grass, legumes etc) which is used to feed his livestock. He knows that the probability of getting all these done during rainy season is slim or maybe impossible. During rainy period, his mind is at rest, because he knows his livestock will survive on the hay. Working with hay is difficult in wet conditions, so sunny weather proves advantageous for this particular chore.

Now is the time for any wise youth to make the best of every opportunity to be what God wants him/her to be. This is the time to gather the 'hay' that will be used to generate greatness later in life. But it's a pity that many youths would rather spend their time gisting, sleeping, watching movies and listening to immoral songs that adds no positive value; and by the time they realise the extent of evil done to their future, it becomes too late to make amendments.
They begin to 'cure' a situation that should have been prevented!!! So many even pretend under the guise of being a Christian to be lazy. The Bible already said it all and there's no 'two-way' about it; Proverbs 10:4 says: He becometh poor that dealeth [with] a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. A diligent child of God will always find favour before God and man. But for a lazy man, no 'food' for him!!!
let's dare to be different! Greatness isn't meant for some selected people, but it's God's plan for His children to be godly role models that will impact their generation and be lights wherever they find themselves. It's God's plan that YOU should be great! Even though you've failed in the past, don't let that limit you; you can RISE AND SHINE AGAIN! You can be another 'Joseph' that God will use to deliver your family from 'famine'. You can be another 'David' that will deliver your nation from her enemies. You can be another 'Esther' who will be favoured by God to marry a 'King of 127 provinces' and bring about the deliverance of her people! You can be another 'Deborah'; who will be a great leader and be successful both in marriage and ministry! PAY THAT PRICE NOW! Don't wait till when 'little or nothing' can be done! Let's not waste our youthful years! We've got no excuse! As we go this week, let's be determined to make those positive changes; let's be determined to leave a positive mark wherever we find ourselves; let's be determined to be a light that will point others to 'THE LIGHT'. MAKE 'HAY' WHILE THE 'SUN' SHINES; FOR THE 'RAIN' COMES WHEN IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO GATHER HAY!
